Race for the Cure

This morning Dave and I got up at 5:15 to head downtown for the Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure.  My work had a booth among the other sponsors, and we handed out 30,000+ pink bandanas to everyone there.  This year, Komen St. Louis registered 62,000 people for the race.  And that's just for the race!  I would bet there were 75,000 people downtown this morning, and it was such a great experience.  I was so surprised to see so many people -- young, old, and so many survivors -- come together for this great cause.  Everyone was so excited to be there, and it was easy to feel like you were making a difference.
Dave and I ran the 5K.  So many people were running, it was hard to navigate through the crowds.  Everywhere you looked was a sea of people.  But the sun was out, it was beautiful weather, and we couldn't have asked for a better day.

Fun! That is a great picture with the Arch in the background! I love it! Are you going to be in St. Louis over Christmas Break? We are coming over Chirstmas for a week!

Way to go, you two! It's neat to be part of something big like that, especially for a good cause. I'm glad you did it.
